Out of the Looking Glass/Into the Madness Wonderland Sim

The other night I stumbled on a very fun sim so I called up my sister and we had a fun day of dress-up!  Since we all know I'm the bad girl of the family I choose the Queen of Hearts.  I thought my goody goody sister would choose Alice, but she surprised me and went for the White Rabbit.  Off to
Wonderland! Ok, off the sim by The Dirty Rooster who has their Out of the Looking Glass/Into the Madness sim running.  This is the 3rd year I think.  This place is sooooo fun!

Follow the signs with arrows first through the woods then over a bridge made from the book.  In the next scene you find the rabbit hole, but don't rush down it first.  Stop and look around especially in the house.  There is a picture of the real Alice in there plus a bunch of really creepy toys and stuff.  Once you have explored the house and grounds time to fall down the rabbit hole.  The sim gets about as weird and trippy as the book does!
You don't fall as much as you are walking down a spiral staircase.  Don't rush through this part!  Take time to sit and relax for tea or sit and smoke the hooka with the Catapiller.  Pause on the chess board and take some fun photos.  The only thing I would say here is that there are no poses in the chess board.  Make sure you have a pose hud or poses you can activate since you can't rez anything here.

Once you make it down the hole you end up in a kinda village.  Explore the shops.  They are not store you purchase anything, they are more things to explore.  Follow the arrow and next thing you know you are in the Throne Room of the Red Queen. (Sorry I forgot to upload those photos).  I of course sat on my throne and ordered everyone's head off.

To get to the tea party, it changes and you don't follow the arrows.  you walk through the broken window and walk on the floating playing cards to get there.  This is where my sister Nessie was home.  I'm not sure how many photos she took, but I can only imagine high double digits!  There are 3 tea party tables, a swing, a moss chair and sofa, etc.  I'm not sure we found everywhere that has poses in it.

We may be sisters having a dress-up tea party, but that doesn't mean we have to like each other enough to smile for the picture.  Besides - this Queen NEVER smiles!

I have to admit, Nessie does look good as the White Rabbit.  Both of our outfits were from
*Lamu Fashion*Exclusive Italian Style and are on Marketplace and have an store in world.   Click on SLURL to go to the store in SL.

After our tea party we walked on the bridge of cards to get to the Red Queens Courtyard.  Roses are being  painted red, a grand piano waits for you and there are benches with poses as well.  This is the final stop in wonderland, but not for the sim.

Exit the courtyard and take a hot air balloon ride.  Make sure you take the bumber shoot when offered and wear it unless you like falling thousands of meters!  It's a black umbrella that opens when being used, but if you keep it on it closes back up and looks like a cool accessory.  You land in the vintage town that is home to the Dirty Rooster.  I loved looking around and the venue looks amazing.  I can't wait to go to my first show here.  They have live music every Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday.

Make sure you take the time to visit while it's still here.  You will have a blast!!!!

PixelArt Photogardens Easter Hunt - 18 FREE Gifts! April 9th-16th 2017

Wow, I've never seen a destination have a hunt, but PixelArt Photogardens and PixelArt Pose Props combine make a great hunt.  But it's for 1 week only so get here fast!  There are 18 Gifts from PixelArt Pose props, all are new items not yet found in the store (I'm sure they will be after this hunt though).

7 Pose Props
3 Pose Stands (male, female and female portrait) - multiple poses each
4 Backdrop Stands (multiple backdrops each)
3 Frames
1 Easter Selfie Set

All eggs are pretty easy to find.  The sign says all eggs are hidden where they won't interfere with taking photos, so look behind stuff and in corners.  It's a lot of fun!

Here are a few of the pics I took.  All poses, props and backdrops are FREE in the  hunt...

SL Backdrop Stand (egg #16) and Women's Pose Stand (egg #12)

Traditional Backdrop Stand (egg #14) and Portrait Pose Stand (egg #13)

Forest Backdrop Stand (egg #14) and Portrait Pose Stand (egg #13)

Grapevine Pose Prop (egg #8) and Forest Backdrop Stand (egg #14)

Vintage Backdrop Stand (egg #17) and Ottoman Pose Prop (egg #9)

Vintage Backdrop Stand (egg #17) and Gold Pose Frame (egg #10)

This is just a sample.  Go to PixelArt Photogardens, find the 5 eggs in the main garden then take the teleporter up to the rez deck.  There is one on the deck and also 1 in each scene for a total of 18 eggs.  All eggs are numbered so you can tell if you missed one.  Happy Easter!

Quackerstone Duck Racing

Quackerstone Duck Racing

Looking for something fun to do in sl with friends or for a fun date night?  Quackerstone Duck Racing may just be what you are looking for!  Risin and I just had a go at it and had a blast.

When you arrive, step over to the giant yellow duckie and click on the big red button below him.  You have your choice of fast or slow ducks to ride and race.  The fast are a bit harder to control and move much faster, while the slow ones get to use the power up's you hit along the way at each gate.  Guess the best one is the one you can win with, but it's all in the driving of your rubber duckie.  For added fun, if you bump another racer, you hear a squeek from the ducks.  It was funny.

Above I show the map of the coarse.  It doesn't look bad there, but it's very deceiving.  The gates are at angles and at one point you have to jump off a ramp.  The lower picture look carefully and you can see the race coarse.  If you miss a gate, it will tell you to go back and won't give a final time till you make it through all gates.  Occasionally a gate didn't rez in right away, but if you follow the course, you will get them all.

If you are on a slow duck, then you will want to hit these power ups.  Hopefully someone doesn't hit it before you though and uses it.  Still not sure which type is duck is better so try them both out.  Loosing the power up but still easier to control may be the way to win.  When you get to the finish line it will tell you your time, but it also posts the last 10 times and top 10 times on the board.  I came close but didn't make it to the top 10.

When you are done there is a dance floor in the middle of the course.  I've never seen a dj here, though a sign say there is one from time to time.  Its quiet and a great place for you and your date or friends.  There is an intan with couples and singles dances.

This was created back in 2010 so it has stood the test of time.  In SL that's like forever!  I'm always looking for fun and creative things to do, and this certainly fulfilled that.

Here's the SLURL if you want to give it a try!

PixelArt Photogardens

Owner: Nessie Naidoo

Flicker: https://www.flickr.com/groups/pixelart-photogardens/

SLURL: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Bhima/179/98/43

PixelArt Photogardens is a beautiful free-to-use (of course tips are appreciated) photo location and great place to hang out. The main garden is beautiful and romantic. There are swings and blankets with poses for both singles and couples plus there is a beautiful gazebo with a loaded Intan for sharing a special dance with the one you love.

Since you can't rez pose balls at PixelArt, there is a sales area with a demo pose hud for L$1 (or you can purchase the full hud). There is a mens and women's version. The demo has a few poses in it you can use while you are there. This is perfect if you are wanting to take pictures by the AMAZING fountain because it doesn't have any poses in it.

BUT WAIT.... THERE'S MORE!! Take the teleporter to the scene rez deck. (Click the teleporter, select scene rez, the right click and choose teleport.) Here you will find some really fun scenes for taking photos. In each scene there are several places to take pics with both singles and couples poses in them. Look around at the whole scene for all the great spots! In the rainy city scene (see pics below) make sure you click the red fire hydrant to get your free umbrella. As of this writing there there are scenes for a winter garden, pier, rainy city, waterfall, vintage gas station, gothic garden and a summer garden. More scenes are added from time to time.

For fun, after you take the photos you can share them on PixelArt Photogardens flicker page and share with everyone!

As a bonus, PixelArt offers free photography classes. Right now there are 2 classes, "Improve Your SL Photography", and "Taking Your Photos to the Next Level". Contact Nessie Naidoo to schedule a class. I've taken the classes and both are very helpful!

I highly recomend PixelArt Photogardens! See my pics below. I was having soooooo much fun today!!!!!
